Made in China – An Original Musical With Childlike Innocence
PianoFight friend and collaborator Nicholas Weinbach is putting on a staged reading/singing of his musical, Made in China, in two weeks. The 28th and 29th. These are both matinee shows, both on Valencia (near 15th), and certainly a great way to interrupt time in the sun at the park. Looking forward to it. Here’s the info. -Evan
From San Francisco writer and composer Nicholas Weinbach comes an original musical about a child-like up-and-coming postman, Max, who must deliver a mysterious music box to an address that doesn’t exist. In a moment of curiosity, Max winds the box, and a house magically appears along with Amber, the girl of his dreams. Backed by a live 6-piece chamber orchestra, Made in China’s melody-driven songs and quirky humor will engage you in an exciting adventure of what it’s like to think and act like a kid, again.
Note: This is a staged reading, not a full production.
Staged Readings/Singings on April 28th and 29th, 2PM. Stage Werx Theater, 446 Valencia Street, San Francisco CA. Tickets are pay-what you can at the door; $10 (suggested contribution). Event link.
